English: Alta House is a settlement house in Cleveland's Little Italy neighborhood. It was established by John D. Rockefeller in 1895 and named for his daughter Alta Rockefeller Prentice. A 1914 expansion included a library and a gym. The original Alta House was destroyed by fire in 1980, and a new wing opened on the site of the original building in 1982. Alta House currently shares space with the Cleveland Montessori School.
