In the Alyscamps necropolis, the Porcellet funeral chapel, also called Notre-Dame de Miséricorde chapel, was founded in 1472 by Madelaine Retranchain, widow of Joan Porcellet, the burials in the Saint-Honorat church having been interrupted during an episode of plague.
