Auguste Pierre Bulcke (1931-1893) was a famous Belgian ships owner who worked out of the city of Antwerp. He was president of the Chamber of Commerce and was awarded several titles. The Belgian polar explorer Adrien de Gerlach named Mount Bulcke in the Antarctic Palmer archipel after him or his family for their support of the expedition.
