English: Colourations that can crop up in purebed Australian Shepherds but are not acceptable by its breed standards. With this breed, unacceptable colouration faults are meant to disqualify homozygous merle dogs which usually have vision and hearing impendiments.
Unacceptable
  • white is dominant colour in head
  • white on body between the withers and the tail (judging by roots)
  • white on sides between the shoulder and the back of the thigh
Severe fault
  • more than 25 % pink on nose (in dogs over 1 years)
