The Ayyappankavu temple of Panjal is a 12th-century apsidal floor-plan temple in Thrissur district of Kerala. It illustrates a nirandhara-style Hindu architecture.

The Ayyappankavu temple faces east and is dedicated to Ayyappan (Dharmasastha). Built with a granite adhisthana, its bhitti is made from laterite blocks that has been plastered over and painted with murals. Its kumuda has an inscription that helps date this temple. The murals cover all major traditions of Hinduism. Notable murals found at the this temple include Venugopala, Narasimha, Rama with his brothers, Sita, Hanuman, scenes from Ramayana, Harihara, Nataraja, Ganesha and Bhagavati.

To the north of the Ayyappankavu temple is a small square-plan shrine dedicated to Vishnu.
