- Békéscsaba-Penza friendship monument (Inauguration 1975, artwork by Iván Szabó, artificial stone). Penza is a small town in Russia, which was once a sister city to Békéscsaba. Today it is no longer included in the list of twin cities. But both the name of the housing estate and all these monuments remained even after the change of regime (ie. socialism to capitalism). On the street-facing part of the monument there are two female figures, while on the reverse side there are stylized flowers, as well as the coats of arms of the two cities, sickle and hammer, 'red' star... Participants at the inauguration: Hungarian Socialist Workers' Party Békéscsaba City Committee, Hungarian Young Communist League, City Committees of the Patriotic People's Front and representatives of the city council - in a Park at Bánszki Street (Road 444), Penza housing estate, Békéscsaba, Békés County, Hungary.

Békéscsaba-Penza barátság-emlékmű (Avatás 1975., Szabó Iván alkotás, műkő) Penza egy oroszországi kisváros, ami egykor testvérvárosa lehetett Békéscsabának. Ma már nem szerepel a testvérvárosok listájában. De mind a lakótelep neve, mindez azemlékmű is megmaradt a rendszerváltás után is. Az emlékmű utcára néző részén két nőalak, míg a hátoldalon stilizált virágok vannak valamint a két város címere, sarló, és kalapács, 'vörös' csillag... Az avatók: MSZMP békéscsabai városi bizottság, a KISZ, a Hazafias Népfront városi bizottságai és a városi tanács képviselői - Békés megye, Békéscsaba, Belváros,Penza lakótelep, Bánszki utca (444-es főút), park.
