English: The Bambridge family of Tahiti were a prominent demi (mixed ancestry) family descended from English and Irish settlers and members of the raʻatira class. The Bambridge family possess no ariʻi or royal descent in their lineage. The family began with Thomas Bambridge, a British settler of Tahiti, and Maraea O'Connor, the daughter of an Irishman and a member of the raʻatira class. They twenty-two children which formed the prominent Bambridge family.
