Category:Beorn (Björn)
Beorn, in Swedish Björn, was the name of at least one known king of the Swea people from the obscure period before the year 1000. Two large grave mounds or tumuli are named for a Beorn, and some historians have assumed that one or more kings from the saga era were involved, though nothing is certain. One (probably a later invention or confusion with another prince) has been called Beorn Ironsides (Björn Järnsida) . Another Beorn at Haugi (Björn vid Håga - at the Mound) is the one assumed to be a real person of history.[1]
