Deutsch: Im Juni 1999 veranstaltete die Riedel Bau Gruppe (zum 100 jährigen Firmenjubiläum) einen Workshop / Wettbewerb unter dem Titel „Kunst in Beton“. Den ersten Preis bekam der Künstler Matthias Schlitt [1] mit seinem Werk „Betonkopf“.
Der Betonkopf wurde in Schweinfurt an der Mainpromenade aufgestellt, und zwar an der Gutermann-Promenade am Fluss Main.
Im Jahr 2008, zu der Ausstellung „Geschenkt!“ schenkte Riedel Bau das Kunstwerk den Museen und Galerien der Stadt Schweinfurt. Hierrüber berichtete auch die Zeitung Mainpost am 29.6.2008: [2]English: In June 1999 (at his 100. Birthday) the company Riedel Bau hosted a workshop “Kunst in Beton” = “Art in Concrete”. The first price was given to the artist Matthias Schlitt for this artwork “Betonkopf” = “Concrete Head”.
This head, made of concrete (cement) was placed in Schweinfurt next to the river Main, at the Main-promenade, called Gutermann-Promenade.
In the year 2008, at the exhibition “Geschenkt!” = “Make as a gift”, the compay Riedel Bau gave the artwork to the museum and galleries of the city Schweinfurt. The newspaper “Mainpost” wrote an article on 29 June 2008. [3]Media in category "Betonkopf (Schweinfurt)"
