This is an early 9th-century Hindu temple near Khajursagar (Khajur lake). It was originally dedicated to Vishnu. Like many other temples, it too was abandoned after the destruction of Khajuraho. Later reclaimed, a chaturmukha (four faced) lingam was installed in the empty sanctum. The villagers associated the four faces with Brahma, and it came to be named as Brahma temple. This is a misnomer, but the monument continues to be called the Brahma temple by locals and by ASI.

The temple has a simple square plan with phamsana sikhara. It stands on a jagati (platform), has river goddesses flanking the sanctum doorway. The lintel lalitabimba has Vishnu riding on Garuda. Everything is made of granite, except the phamsana roof which is of sandstone. The chaturmukha lingam is likely of a later century. Inside, the ASI has added pillars for safety and structural support.
