English: Brining-Boldman House a.k.a. John Brining House, now The Boldman House Museum, 410 N. First, Dayton, Washington. The house was built in several phases between 1880 and 1909. It started as ther three-room house of Joseph and Rosine Wolfstein in 1880; they slod it to John and Ella Brining in 1883. Some time by 1891 the Brinings had added a two-story section, a basement, and extended the back of the house. It was sold to Oath Long in 1900, then to C.C. Hubbard in 1904. Some time between 1896 and 1909 the bay windows, the second floor balcony, and the entry foyer were added, producing the Queen Anne style house that Steven A. Boldman and his wife Blanche Porter Boldman purchased in 1912. The Boldman family lived there until 1999, when Gladys M. Boldman died at the age of 91, leaving her estate to the Dayton Historical Depot Society. Her will directed that the home be restored to its 1912 state and that it become a community resource and educational "showplace".[1]
