English: This locomotive entered service with British Rail in November 1955. It was numbered 11135 until October 1960 when it became D2229. It was withdrawn in December 1969 and sold to the National Coal Board. It was based at Brookhouse Colliery in Beighton from 1970 until 1983 although it spent some time at Orgreave Colliery. It was transferred to Manton Colliery in 1983 and then taken into preservation in 1990.
