English: This was one of the first British Railways Class 08 locomotives to be built, being delivered in December 1952 to Hither Green in London, carrying the number 13014 until December 1960 when it became D3014. It spent the next 20 years working on the Southern Region of British Railways, although based at Easteliegh from May 1954. It was withdrawn in October 1972 and sold to the National Coal Board for use at Merthyr Vale and other collieries in south Wales. It has been preserved on the Dartmouth Steam Railway since March 1989.
