Category:British Rail Class 08 D3955 (TOPS 08787, 08296)
English: D3955 entered service with British Railways in April 1960 and was renumbered into the TOPS series as 08787 in February 1974. It was withdrawn in February 1991 and sold to ABB Transportation for industrial use and renumbered 001 the following year. In 2000 it was moved to Somerset and was mistakenly renumbered 08296. It has since worked at various Mendip Rail operated quarries and terminals.
