English: 12099 is a diesel-electric shunting locomotive. It was built at Derby in 1952 for British Railways to a London, Midland & Scottish Railway design. Initially allocated to Nottingham it spent time at several different depots before finding itself at Rugby in 1963. This depot closed two years later so it was transferred to nearby Bletchley but was withdrawn in 1971. It was sold to the National Coal Board for further use but is now preserved on the Severn Valley Railway.
