Category:British Rail Class 37 D6700 (TOPS 37119, 37350)

English: D6700 was the first 'English Electric Type 3' locomotive built for British Rail, entering service in December 1960. Under the TOPS classification these became Class 37 so it was renumbered 37119 in February 1974 but became 37350 in March 1988 when its traction motor gearing was changed. It was named National Railway Museum in November 1998. When it was withdrawn in December 1999 it was preserved as an historic locomotive in the National Collection.
