Category:British Rail Class 37 D6737 (TOPS 37037, 37321)

English: D6737 entered service with British Rail in May 1962. It was numbered into the TOPS series as 37037 in February 1974 but was renumbered 37321 in July 1986 when it received improved couplings and breaks for working heavy freight trains but reverted to 37026 in November 1988. It was named Gartcosh (after the Scottish steel works) from July 1986 until November 1988. From August 1999 until August 2000 it operated in France. It was withdrawn in April 2003 and entered preservation on the South Devon Railway.
