A pare (lintel) at the entrance to the New Zealand Arthropod Collection (Te aitanga a pepeke o Aotearoa), Auckland. Carved by Denis Conway from recycled kauri. Unusually for traditional Māori carving, it contains depictions of New Zealand invertebrates such as a giraffe weevil and a dragonfly.
