The whole work was published in Gdansk (Middle Ages Church Latin: Danzica) in 1690, after his death, by the second wife of Hevelius, Catherina Elisabeth Koopman.
The second volume, in addition to the title and opening pages of introduction, contains a series of tables, each on each of the 54 constellations described by Hevelius. The constellations are sorted alphabetically for each constellation, Hevelius shows the celestial coordinates (latitude, longitude, ascension and declination) of the stars forming the constellation.
The stars are described throughout 1564.

Il secondo volume, oltre al frontespizio e alle pagine iniziali d'introduzione, contiene una serie di tabelle, ognuna riguardante ciascuna delle 54 costellazioni descritte da Hevelius. Le costellazioni sono ordinate alfabeticamente e per ciascuna costellazione, Hevelius riporta le coordinate celesti (latitudine, longitudine, ascensione e declinazione) delle stelle che costituiscono la costellazione.
Le stelle descritte sono in tutto 1564.
