This category aims to group monasteries, chapels and churches in the region. A reason to create the category is to prevent over-categorisation (chapels and churches are put together; monasteries are included as they often hold a church). The majority of Christian buildings that are regularly photographed are of the rock-cut (aka cave) variety. Another sub-category holds the ones built of stone, so not cut in the rock. The category "Churches in Cappadocia" groups several, but overlooks a lot.
