English: Colgate is a civil parish and small village in the Horsham District of West Sussex, England. The parish contains the small Colgate village, about four miles north-east from Horsham, the settlement of Faygate, and the depopulated previous hamlet of Coolhurst. There are farms and dispersed buildings, although the major part of the parish is forest, including St Leonard's Forest lying almost completely within the parish. Streams rising in the forest feed ancient hammerponds, and the head of the River Arun in the neighbouring western parish of Nuthurst. The major part of Mannings Heath Golf Club lies in Colgate, as does Cottesmore Golf Club, Cottesmore School, the Roffey Park Institute, and the remaining and developed buildings of the Grade II listed 1913-built Jacobean-style Forest Grange Manor.
