English: The Craig Fountain in the Oamaru Public Gardens is registered by Heritage New Zealand as a Category II structure, with registration number 7151. Craig's Fountain was officially opened on 13 April 1914.[1] The fountain stopped working in the mid-1990s, and was eventually restored and officially reopened on 15 December 2017.[2] The restoration cost NZ$165,000. Lighting was added in 2018 after the Rotary Club of Oamaru raised NZ$10,000.[3]
