Cruckny Well in Castlecomer. Canon Carrigan presumes its name derives from the Irish Tiobar na Croiche Naoimh (=Well of the Holy Cross). It is now barely accessible and certainly not used for worship or any rituals. A semicircular wall of about 20cm height surrounds it. Water flows from above the "spring".
