English: The Curtiss NC were a series of 4 transatlantic flying boats (NC-1, NC-2, NC-3 and NC-4) built in a collaborative effort between the US Navy and Curtiss, hence the designation which stands for Navy Curtiss. The NC-4 was the first heavier than air aircraft to succeed in crossing the Atlantic, staging through the Azores.
