Dōchū hizakurige 道中膝栗毛

• These preparatory drawings retitled 道中膝栗毛 Dōchū hizakurige seem to have been created for Tsutaya Jūzaburō since one of the drawings has 蔦重板 Tsutajūhan on the bottom right. A copy of a print from this series at The Museum of Fine Arts Boston is [1]. This print has the title 膝栗毛道中雀 Hizakurige dōchū suzume. These drawings were probably were later used by the publisher Sanoya Kihei (Sanoki) since the British Museum has a print from this series, namely Odawara, with the Sanoki seal.
