The Davidwache, often wrongly called Davidswache (with interfix -s), is the building of the Hamburg police department 15. It has become the most famous police station of the Hanseatic city and beyond, especially through film and television.
The police station has been located at this site (the intersection of Davidstrasse with Spielbudenplatz) since 1854, when the guardhouses David and Paulus were united.
The present building was erected in 1913/14 by Fritz Schumacher. The sculptures are the work of Richard Kuöhl.

This is the category for a cultural monument.
It is on the list of cultural monuments of Hamburg-St. Pauli, no. 13538.
