Category:Edinburgh Bustracker
English: Edinburgh Bustracker (www.mybustracker.co.uk) is a bus tracking system used in Edinburgh, Scotland. It began operation in 2004. Tracking data is used to provide real time travel information to internet/mobile services and on-street electronic signs, and to give priority to buses at traffic lights. It was commissioned in 2002 by the city council, and was built by Ineo-Systrans. Although open to all operators, it has only been rolled out on routes served by Lothian Buses (as they are the only company to have fitted the necessary equipment to its buses and depots.
