The crater Eldborg (i.e. Eldborg á Mýrum - there are more craters by the name Eldborg in Iceland) is situated in the west of Iceland in the valley Hnappadalur on the eastern end of the peninsula Snæfellsnes. It is a spatter cone formed about 6.500 years ago by an eruption series in the volcanic system of Ljósufjöll.
