Erik Perwe (1905-1944) was the head of the Victoria Congegration (The Swedish Church in Berlin) 1942-44, where he hided Jewish refugees from the Nazi authorities in the Swedish Church premises, which were considered out of reach by the Gestapo on the weak ground of alleged diplomatic immunity.

Erik Perwe continued the rescue work of Birger Forell, who was expelled from Germany in 1942. After his death in 1944, after his passenger aircraft was shot down by unknown air artillery outside Malmö in 1944, his job was taken over by Erik Myrgren.

He retroactively got the Israeli distinction Righteous Among the Nations in 2006.
