Eucalyptus propinqua, the Grey Gum or Small-fruited Grey Gum, is a common, medium sized, autochthonous tree in 7th Brigade park, mostly found on the slopes. For most of the year the granular bark is mottled in shades of dull grey. When its bark sheds in plates though the new bark is a striking orange colour. It has been extensively planted in re-vegetation projects in 7th Brigade Park and has demonstrated rapid growth and good habit.
