Category:Fogland Point

English: Fogland Point in Tiverton, Rhode Island, is a roughly rectangular spit of granite-bedrocked land, 35 acres (14 ha) in size, which projects out into the Sakonnet River, a tidal inlet of the Atlantic Ocean. It is connected by Fogland Beach, a thin neck of land with a sandy beach on the south side, and Fogland cove, with a rocky beach, on the north side. Directly west of Fogland Point is Aquidneck Island – historically known as Rhode Island – on which are located the towns of Portsmouth, and Middleton and the city of Newport. Fogland Point, which is private property, has around 16 houses on it.
