"History The Carousel first opened in 1991 in Talbot Street, in a plaza outside the park’s former haunted attraction, Doom and Sons, which is where the Great Glass Elevators of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory went on to be located. / When the area became The Land of Make Believe, the ride became known as Gallopers Carousel and was moved to a central position, more or less where it is today. In 1997 it was relocated to Adventure Land, where it operated alongside The Beastie until the end of the 2003 season, when it was re-relocated to Cred Street (i.e. its current location) to make way for Spinball Whizzer. / The ride was rethemed to the Royal Carousel to coincide with the opening of The World of David Walliams. This meant it was SBNO for the 2020 season, as a result of the area’s opening being postponed until Spring 2021. "
