English: The General Motors BTV (Basic Transport Vehicle) was one of several basic vehicles developed in the early seventies intended for low-cost production in developing countries. Using mostly Bedford HA mechanicals it first entered production in Malaysia in June 1972 as the Bedford Harimau. It was also sold as the GM/Chevrolet Amigo (Costa Rica, Philippines, Portugal), "Pinolero" in Nicaragua, the Mitaí (Paraguay), the Andino (Ecuador).
