English: The Gladstone was former a Peruvian steam-sailing ship (iron aux barque) with the name Francisco Calderón and was built by A McMillan & Son Dumbarton (Yard No 175) for Cie Maritima de Peru. Compound engines had 100hp and 8kn. Built for Chinese coolie trade to Peru. The engines was removed and the vessel converted to sailing ship in 1875. The Francisco Calderón was sold 1879 to F. H. Dangar, Sydney and renamed. 1890 she sold to W. Ritchie, Sydney and in 1891 to Danish owners. Some time, the ship was rigged to a barque. In 1909 she sold to Naples and renamed Antonio Mazzella and scrapped 1910 at Procida after suffering bottom damage early in 1909.
The dimensions of the vessel were length: 248.2 ft (75.6 m); width: 34.2 ft (10.4 m); depth: 20.8 ft (633.9 cm)

and she had a tonnage of 1226 GRT and 1118 NRT (Gladstone).[1][2]
