838 General Solano Street built in 1897 by the Eugster Family and acquired by Jose Moreno Lacalle - home to Patricio Montojo of the Spanish Navy (1897-1898), Spanish Royal Navy Club (1898), U.S Military Governor Arthur MacArthur (1899), the Philippine Senate (1917), Adamson School of Industrial Chemistry (1932) and Michael Goldenberg (1950s) Philippine manufacturer of “Helene Curtis Shampoo Plus Egg.”. Since 1966, the property has been part of the Malacañan complex for it was eventually bought by the Philippine Government under the Marcos regime in 1966.
