Le Fonds ancien de la Bibliothèque cantonale (théologie catholique, histoire, littérature, sciences, incunables, manuscrits) reste dans l'Hôtel de Gléresse. S'y trouvent aussi les Archive épiscopales de l'ancien Évêché de Bâle.
