Note: Architect Arthur Bown of H. E. and A. Bown designed this building in 1894 for the West Yorkshire Regiment. The foundation stone was laid in 1894, with completion planned for November 1894. The tower staircase led to the club rooms above the drill hall. There was a large cellar and band room in the basement. The site included a 3-bedroom sergeant's house.
