English: The Hotel El Cortez, since 2007 the Hotel Adagio, located at 550 Geary Street on the corner of Shannon Street in the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco, was built in 1929 and was designed by Douglas D Stone in the Spanish Colonial Revival style. Actor Tab Hunter was discovered at this hotel, and Nat King Cole was a frequent performer at the hotel bar.
