English: The "Hotel Francés" (French Hotel) is a historic XVI century building, originally a mansion, located at between Calle Arzobispo Meriño and Calle Las Mercedes, at Santo Domingo's Ciudad Colonial, Dominican Republic. The northern block of this building partially collapsed on May 2, 2015. At the time it was operated as a hotel part of the French Accor MGallery hotel collection.^[1] The collapsed block of the building was reconstructed with a French style facade following available historical records and reopen to service in June 2018.^[2] Since then the Dominican hotel chain Hodelpa operates the reconstruced and renovated Hotel Frances as the Hodelpa Casa Real Event Center.^[3]
