The Hotel Snoqualmie was built at the Southwest corner of Pike Street & Third Avenue in 1889 by Hamm & Schmitz, who later owned and developed numerous hotel properties in downtown Seattle. Opened in October 1889, it advertised large sample rooms for traveling salesman and the finest restaurant (in a hotel) in Seattle. It was demolished in 1927 for the Kress Building.
