English: Third Houston City Hall and Market House. Mayor I.C. Lord held an architectural competition for a new (third) city hall, after the second one burned down. Galveston Architect Edward J. Duhamel began construction in October 1876. The building has asymmetrical towers. The building was destroyed in 1901 by fire.
