English: The Infamy Speech is President Franklin D. Roosevelt's speech asking the United States Congress for declaration of war with Japan on December 8, 1941, the day after the attack on Pearl Harbor. The speech is also called the Pearl Harbour speech, has been titled Presidential Address to Congress of December 8, 1941 in Congressional documents, and is sometimes known as the Day of Infamy Speech though the word "date", not "day" is used in the opening sentence of the speech.
