Built in 1886, this Italianate-style duplex at 8 West Gilman Street in Madison, Wisconsin, was built for J. N. Jones. The duplex is clad in asbestos shingles with a low-pitch hipped roof, simple cornice, buff brick base, two two-story front bay windows, oxeye windows on the first floor of the front facade, and replacement windows.
[[The house is a contributing structure in the Mansion Hill Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.
