Od roku 1924 bydlel v Přelouči, kde byl též zaměstnán u místní firmy Radiotechna Přelouč. Členem ilegální skupiny Julek, která se vytvořila kolem sovětského rezidenta majora letectva RNDr. Josefa Jedličky (* 9. září 1897 Budapešť – 30. června 1942 Praha), se Jindřich Fröde stal začátkem roku 1941. Ilegální skupina Julek byla napojena na Ústřední vedení odboje domácího (ÚVOD). Jindřich Fröde byl opravářem poškozených radiostanic a také se účastnil vysílání Jedličkovy ilegální stanice Magda. Josef Jedlička byl zatčen gestapem v sobotu 9. října 1941. V souvislosti s jeho zatčením byl 13. října 1941 zatčen i Jindřich Fröde, který byl vězněn zprvu v Kolíně, pak v Praze. Z německé policejní věznice v Praze na Pankráci byl 15. listopadu 1941 přemístěn do věznice v Malé pevnosti Terezín a odtud pak do koncentračního tábora Mauthausen, kde byl usmrcen v pátek 13. února 1942.

Jindřich Fröde became a member of the illegal group "Julek", which formed around the Soviet resident air force major RNDr. Josef Jedlička (* 9 September 1897 Budapest - 30 June 1942 Prague), at the beginning of 1941. The illegal group Julek was connected to the Central Leadership of the Home Resistance (ÚVOD). Jindřich Fröde was a repairer of damaged radio stations and also participated in the broadcasting of Jedlička's illegal radio-station Magda. Josef Jedlička was arrested by the Gestapo on Saturday 9 October 1941. In connection with his arrest, Jindřich Fröde was also arrested on 13 October 1941 and was imprisoned first in Kolín and then in Prague. He was transferred from the German police prison in Prague at Pankrác to the prison in the Small Fortress of Terezín on 15 November 1941 and from there to the Mauthausen concentration camp, where he was executed on Friday 13 February 1942.
