The John and Mary Berryman rental duplex located at 409–411 Wisconsin Avenue in Madison, Wisconsin, was built in 1899 in Queen Anne style (see the Property Record online).

The building features a clapboard and shingle-clad exterior with octagonal turrets at either end of the front facade, a complex hipped and side gable roof with octagonal projected sections over the turrets, a front gabled dormer with a Gothic arched front projected gable and decorative paired brackets, one-over-one windows, two-story bay windows on the side facades, a front porch with a bonnet roof, paneled railing, heavy timber-style columns, and a clapboard-clad base, a front bay window in the center of the facade on the porch, and a rusticated stone base.

The building is a contributing structure in the Mansion Hill Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.
