English: The 3,840-acre Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest is a national memorial forest created in 1936. Part of the Joyce Kilmer-Slickrock Wilderness Area, the forest is one of the largest surviving stands of virgin cove hardwood forest in the eastern United States.
