Kültepe (= Ash Hill) is an archaeological site located about 20 km southwest of Kayseri (city). It was inhabited continuously from the Chalcolithic period (5500-3000 BC) to Roman times. In the first hall of the (old) museum finds from Kültepe, and mainly from the Assyrian Trading Colonies period (from the 20th to 18th centuries BC) were presented. Though in the same hall one could find some Hittite objects.
