Katerina/Katharina "Rosa" Botsaris (1820 Janina - 1875) was the daughter of Markos Botsaris. She was in the service of Queen Amalia of Greece since 1841. She was an admired young woman at European courts beauty. Her beauty was immortalised by painter Joseph Karl Stieler in 1841. The painting was part of Schönheitengalerie commissioned by King Ludwig I of Bavaria. The woman depicted in the painting posing in the attire named the "Amalia dress" is often mistaken for Queen Amalia of Geece herself. A Damask rose species bred in 1856 was named Rosa Botsaris after her. Katerina married Prince Georg Karadjas. They had two sons.
