English: Komon are non-formal kimono with a throughout repetitive pattern. Truly casual ones will have obvious patterns that will change directions from panel to panel, and will not match at the seams. Multiple types of less casual, finer komon exist: Edo komon have minute patterns that seem solid from afar, tsukesage komon have the pattern facing the same way on all panels and sides, and eba komon will have the pattern cross over and match at the seams.
