Category:Lincoln Log Cabin State Historic Site

English: The Lincoln Log Cabin State Historic Site, formerly Shiloh State Park then Lincoln Log Cabin State Park, is an Illinois historic site in Pleasant Grove Township, Coles County, Illinois. Thomas Lincoln and Sarah Bush Lincoln settled on this site around 1840, after Thomas' son Abraham Lincoln had already moved to Sangamon County; Abraham never lived here. The original Lincoln cabin was built by 1845 but was disassembled in 1893 and lost afterward. The west part of the site was the the Civilian Conservation Corps' Camp Shiloh until 1937, and the CCC built a reproduction of the Lincoln cabin, based on original photographs, in the mid-1930s.
